Tony Scholes, Chief ÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û Officer at the Premier League

Tony joined the Premier League in January 2022 as their Chief ÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û Officer, with responsibility for all ÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û matters.

Tony was previously at Stoke City FC, as their Chief Executive, having joined them in September 2004. During his tenure he was a pivotal figure in Stoke’s progress, including a 10-year stay in the Premier League.

A former Director of the ÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û League and member of the FA Council, Tony previously spent six years as the Chief Executive of Preston North End, during which time the team progressed from League 2 to the Championship play off final,  before leaving that post in 2002 to set up a sports lottery business. Tony has also served on the Rugby League Council and was a Founding member and trustee of the National ÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û Museum.

After graduating from Nottingham University, obtaining a degree in industrial economics, he began his career with KPMG, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
